Membership

MUTS membership is for a 2 year period starting in January 2024 through December 2025.

The membership party is on January 20th, 2024 at Fondren Public in Jackson from noon - 2pm. We will accept memberships at the party and into the new year.

MUTS membership is open to anyone interested in the promotion of ultra or trail running. Contributions and memberships support our efforts to carry out and implement our vision and goals.

Your membership dues will help fund MUTS activities and goes to cover such things as website, club insurance, supplies, and events. MUTS operates as a non-profit organization with a board of 9, so 100% of what we raise goes back to you and the promotion of ultra and trail running in Mississippi. Since 2017 we have funded and provided trail volunteers for The Natchez Trace Scenic Trail, Butts Park, Jackson Prep, and the Gray Center. Proceeds from Big Butts trail race have gone to CARA, Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter, and Coco’s Lighthouse. Proceeds from Way’s Bluff trail race have gone to the Gray Center Trail Work Fund.  

Individual Memberships are $50 for a 2 year membership.  
Family Memberships (for up to four) are $100 for the 2 year membership.

How to sign up

You can sign up for a membership in person at our races and monthly events with cash, check, or credit card. Or  you can mail a check made out to Mississippi Ultra and Trail Society and send to the address:  Helen Summerford. 303 Westpark St. Ridgeland, MS 39157.  Please include your email address on the check and send us an email through this website or to Jenny Hong our membership coordinator at MUTSmembership@gmail.com, so we will be looking for your check and be able to mail you your memberships goodies!
